Baby Bivins is alive and well!!!!!!

"At 10:37 AM on 4/26/07, Malia Grace Bivins was born. She weighs 7 lbs 3 oz and is 19 inches long. Shawna says that she has daddy's nose....I have no idea. I am partial, but she is cute. She does have darker hair just like her sister so who knows what she will end up with."

Ain't it a blast! Nice mask too Brian!!!

Hairy Situation!

A child with hair is always amazing to me now!!! After we had our little baldy! Kush Maheshwari (the son of a friend in St. Louis) definitely has the hair he is getting do big too! He is just a few days shy of celebrating his 1st birthday. It is crazy... This just emphasizes how long we have been away from St. Louis and our friends there.

The debate is still on as to whether or not we will move again... well, let me set it straight for the moment. There are no plans to go anywhere right now. In fact I just started to move some plants around in my yard and create some new landscape beds.

Well, The Bivins just sent an email that their new baby girl #2 has arrived a little while ago!!! Congrats!!!

The Dentist...

I went to the Dentist Tuesday for a cleaning... a long over due cleaning. I have learned to prepare for the dentist in advance. Your best bet is to bone up on golf, basketball or football before you go. Well, I thought I would take a guess at what sport he was going to talk to me about while he cleaned and I thought, "hmmmm.... it is base ball season so I think I can find some stuff to talk about-base ball." Boy was I wrong the second he starts working he starts going on and on about UK's new Basketball coach Billy Gillespie and all of his recruits that are going to sign on at UK this year. Who knew? I just can't ever predict it! I think I have him figured out and then NO!!! Anyway, no cavities!

GUESS WHAT!?!?

The baby finally got what he wanted and his wife even suggested an upgrade. What a woman!!!

It is a beast of a motor, eh? It has a 4.0 liter V8. Yes, a gas guzzler...yuck. Maybe one day they will be able to adapt it to run on hydrogen!?!! HA!!! not in my lifetime that is.

We bought the Rover on ebay last weekend after a couple of weeks hunting for good deals. The vehicle seems to be in awesome shape for its age and price. The catch is that I have to go pick it up...

It is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At least this is closer than the first Rover I looked at. The other was in Ashland, Massachusetts; 14 hours away. At least Philly is only 10 hours away and I will have companionship. No not my wife and child... they aren't able to make such a crazy trip... but my old roommate Josh Harp. He said that he would ride back with me and help me with the driving if I bought his plane ticket. We decided that it might be worth it. So, now I have a travel buddy.

We leave Saturday morning and arrive in Philly at 11am. The dealer picks us up at the airport at least. This will be one exhausting weekend for everyone I am sure.

Next on the Rover agenda is fixing the glitches and saving for a light/push bar and driving lights. Christina and I are in the process of deciding what to do with my Geo Prizm now too. She made a comment about keeping it the other day but we are still a little torn. You hate to get ride of a great car because you wanted something newer and different. You know.

Note to MoM: Come on up sometime and we can take it for a cruise!

Bubs at 6.5 months.

Great Grandma and Grandpa Cleaver have something more to quit smoking for. They are doing well and we are cheering them on. Grandpa just came home from the hospital today and says that this is the best he has felt in over a month!!! Great news!
Landon loves to attack his daddy too.... He is jealous of my hair!!! I don't blame him. :)

PS: Does anyone recognize the overalls??? Yep, they were mine when I was a little tyke. They held up pretty well for being 27 years old. I have to confess that he does look better than I do too.

Flash Backs!!!

They drive me nuts!!! I can't wait to get back... to Deutschland that is. I can't wait to show Landon where his family is from and how beautiful the German Alps are. What fun! I know this is a random thought but I was scanning through some old photos from when we lived in STL and I started getting sentimental, not to mention missing the airline miles, ca-ching$!

Life in Lexington is well, but I always want more........ I just can't be content according to Christina!

Anyway, who is that stud by the Maibaum? Hmmm........

HAPPY EASTER!!!!

Christ is RISEN!

Hello and Happy Easter 2007!!! This was Landon's very first Easter and unfortunately Christina had to work all weekend... she has been pretty down about it too. This is her first Easter without all of her family... and she didn't get to see her Bubs all day! For once in my life I am actually appreciative that we have phones to keep us in touch.

The Bubs was fortunate enough this year to have his own Happy Easter card for all to see, at least the family. As you can plainly see he is getting into the festivities by feasting on some yummy carrots... a taste that he acquired from the Easter Bunny himself!!!

Well, it is getting late... we need to get the ham put away (in the fridge' not our guts this time) and go to bed!!! JEP

Man oh man did it take me forever to get access to this blog again... I haven't been able to log in in months. Obviously I did today though. Welcome back to Perkinsland!

Our goal is to keep this site up-to-date with stories and pictures of the family but mostly of the Bubs!!! As you can imagine, he takes up most of our photo time... no more plants and animals for me any time soon!!!!
